1. As you create a new document, MacDF will allow you to fill in all ╥header╙ data for your DF. Should you want to change this information later on, select ╥Header Info╙ or ╥Enclosures╙ from the ╥Setup╙ menu. Note that formatting and enclosure numbering are handled automatically.
2. Should you wish to not use a feature, such as the suspense date, just leave that text-edit item blank in the appropriate dialog box.
3. The signature block will not show as the document is opened. When the signature block is showing, it will jerk around as you type more text. You may choose to have the signature block show, or be hidden, by using commands in the ╥Setup╙ menu.
4. You can import text from MacWrite, Word, etc., by using Cut/Copy/Paste commands. In this version, you cannot paste graphics into MacDF.
5. For full compliance with AR340-15, all text within a DF is of one font and one style. If the document will be printed on an ImageWriter, use New York 12-point; for a LaserWriter, use Times 12-point. The program will try to guess which printer you will use, and default to those fonts and styles. Of course, you may change them as you see fit.
6. The body of the DF is limited to 3000 characters. Should your text still manage to run off the end of the page, change to a different font or size of font.
7. This is a demo version of MacDF. For a full working copy of this program, that will save and print documents, mail a check for $25 to Storm King Technology, Main Post Office Box 139, West Point, New York 10996.
